What is the Rapid Fx A? Our patients have been asking for a no downtime procedure that gives them the benefit of fresher, more youthful, rejuvenated skin. In response Dr. Kest has developed the Rapid FxA, similar to our original ProFractional laser but with ZERO down-time. The ground-breaking Rapid FxA was developed by Dr. Kest himself. A variant of the original Sciton ProFractional, the Rapid FxA uses laser energy in combination with Avita, a type of topical retinoid, to resurface and rejuvenate the skin. Unlike the original ProFractional laser, the Rapid FxA requires absolutely no downtime and can be performed in as little as 15 minutes. Think of the Rapid FxA as your lunchtime laser procedure. How does it work? The Rapid FxA penetrates 8-10 times deeper than microdermabrasion however, only a fraction of the skin is treated. The surrounding skin is left untouched which means healing is almost instantaneous. After your procedure, the skin is slightly pink and returns to normal in about an hour or less. Patients can immediately return to their daily activities. What conditions does the Rapid FxA treat? The Rapid FxA is truly a custom laser procedure that is tailored to your specific lifestyle. Dr. Kest can customize your treatment depending on your comfort level and availability of down time. You can expect healthier, younger, fresher skin after just one treatment. Is the Rapid FxA painful? Most patients do not need any pain control before, during, or after the procedure. The laser feels like a warm, tickling, tingling, sensation. You do have the option of having a topical numbing agent applied to the skin for up to 60 minutes before your treatment. How often can I do the Rapid FxA There is no limit to how many procedures you can have and the more you do the greater the improvement. Can I combine the Rapid FxA with other procedures?
